A Political Litmus Test

The new buzz word is “Conservative” and a lot of people claim to be one. Some believe in a sliding scale of conservatism but we just don’t understand that thinking. That’s sort of like being a “little bit pregnant”. So what is a Conservative? One definition, when used as a noun, is this:

Conservative ~ A person who is averse to change and holds to traditional values and attitudes, typically in relation to politics.

The word is often used very loosely. For example, claiming to be a social liberal yet fiscally “conservative” sends confusing messages. Supporting fiscal responsibility and promoting reduction in the size of government are conservative principles. But, if you simultaneously support Planned Parenthood, same-sex marriage, or tax funded social programs that only enslave the recipients you fail the “Conservative Litmus Test”.

Liberal Progressive Democrats claim Planned Parenthood, which is, by majority, federally subsidized by your tax dollars, is a support function for women’s health. In reality, the main function of Planned Parenthood is performing abortions. Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood and is lauded by liberal Democrats like Hillary Clinton as a hero. In reality, Margaret Sanger promoted murder and eugenics which carries on today through Planned Parenthood. We are all paying for the murder of the unborn; like it or not.

Churchgoers that register as Democrats, but claim to be Christians give support to Margaret Sanger’s philosophy; like it or not. Most voters are ignorant to the Democratic Platform but it is the antithesis to Christianity. Jesus didn’t condone abortion or selective sterilization in his teachings. So, it is through our ignorance that we fail to halt the Liberal Progressive movement.

Progressivism is a disease propagated by our compliance, our meekness, our fear of being adversely socially or economically impacted, or ostracized if we take the moral high ground.

We would argue that the moral high ground is an honorable place to dwell. Roughly 57 million Protestant evangelicals are registered to vote. But, in 2012, only about 30 million made it to the polls for the Presidential general election. In 2016, if we don’t show up at the polls, we will lose our Republic. It’s all in the numbers and Hillary Clinton’s liberal progressive Marxist cronies can’t wait to take control of our country. Our Constitution means absolutely nothing to the left. Their plan is to remove our 2nd Amendment rights by disarming the public. Once accomplished, with no way to protect ourselves, our 1st Amendment rights will be snuffed out. The “Conservative Litmus Test” is this. When trying to discern the nature of a political argument, individual, or policy, simply ask yourself if it or they support the following:

Right to life?
Marriage between one man and one woman?
Free enterprise and free market capitalism?
Strong national defense?
Deregulation and reduction in the size of government?
Traditional moral values?
The Constitution of the United States of America in full?

Hillary Clinton is an enemy to all of the above. If you think the last 7 years have been tough, just you wait. We must educate voters and get them to the polls. We must wake people up to the fact that the government is not their master. We are the master of our government. Liberal Progressives like Hillary Clinton think the American public is stupid. This is not a game as is evidenced by this one very telling quote.

Hillary Clinton believes, like Margaret Sanger, that she has the right to slaughter the innocent unborn. She is counting on the liberal media to sell gun control, but mute any discussion on abortion. Roughly 30,000 deaths occur each year in the U.S. by firearms, two-thirds of which are suicide. In contrast, there are well over 1,200,000 abortions performed each year in the U.S. That’s a 40:1 ration of death by abortion to death by gun.

That means abortion kills 40 times more people each year than guns. This illustrates the fact that progressive liberals like Hillary Clinton care 40 times more about disarming citizens than they do about murdering unborn children.

Hillary and company want to control your choices like the right to defend yourself. She has no respect for your personal liberty. Educate your compliant friends and pass this information on. The quality of life our children and grandchildren will have is dependent upon the action(s) we take Right Now.

We’re scratching our heads over this one…. Greensboro police have asked residents, anyone over 18, to voluntarily turn in their weapons. That’s right, you heard it! This is actually happening in North Carolina, our home State! Read the article HERE.

But then again, just last week we read that Greensboro police were halting all traffic stops for minor infractions like a taillight or headlight out. This is billed as their solution to “racial disparity” since a liberal UNC professor and his undergraduate researchers released information that black folks are four (4) times more likely to get pulled over by police (racial profiling) than white folks. What we can’t figure out is…. did anyone consider that a high percentage of minorities fall into a lower income category and may have a harder time maintaining their vehicles. Read the article HERE. This policy change to end racial disparity most likely treats the symptom, not the root cause of the illness.

The “racial disparity” thing is believable, especially with all the liberal media hype. But the vulnerability of the public will be tested with this voluntary weapons disposal scheme. We are, most likely, preaching to the choir. However, these two Liberal Progressive moves in one city within days of one another, set off multiple alarms in our heads. Our Liberty is under assault in own backyard. The second amendment is being tested by a liberal Police Chief supported by a liberal Democratic City Council. Use this highlighted link to contact the City Council. Call and question their rational for supporting this program. Go ahead, I dare you. Let us know what they say!

Amendment II

“A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

There is no ambiguity, hiccup or doubt in the above text, no interpretation needed. In their wisdom the authors of the Constitution, our founding fathers, feared we would, one day, need protection from a government “gone wild”. Seeing what is happening in Greensboro, the prudent gun owner should begin stocking up on ammo while the “sheeple” flock to the gun disposal bin for their consolation prize. Voluntary gun disposal is a ploy to gain complete control over a populous, it is waste of taxpayer money, and it does not curb crime. It only puts the innocent law abiding residents at risk by not having ample protection.

Nothing good will ever come from big government. Things are getting interesting with ISIS now threatening our homeland. They have even released a list of cities they claim they may target. Relinquishing your weapons in a gun buy back program does not make the Top 10 list for preparedness (insert sarcasm). Germany began disarming it’s citizens in 1939 and then slaughtered 16 million Jews. More HERE. Beware! Though they are sold as such, programs like these are NOT about gun safety or curbing crime. They ARE only about government CONTROL over a compliant populous.

Senate Overrides Governor McCrory’s Veto on SB2

If you took a job as Magistrate and were faced with marrying a gay couple but in doing so this would violate your religious beliefs, what would you do? NC Senate Bill 2 provides language that would allow you to opt out of performing that ceremony. The same goes for a Register of Deeds who is forced with the task of filing a marriage license yet has a moral obligation not to fulfill this task despite it falling within his/her job description. This is a first amendment issue.

Senate Leader Phil Berger (R-Rockingham), who sponsored the legislation. “This bill strikes a critical balance to make sure the freedoms granted to some under recent court orders do not erase the constitutionally-protected rights of others, and the Senate’s action tonight will help ensure it becomes law.”

Many argue that if you can’t perform the duties of that position then you shouldn’t take the job. But what about a Register of Deeds that has held that elected position for, say 15 years, prior to all these social challenges? If you believe marriage should be between a man and a woman as the Holy Bible teaches, then you are forced to either refuse to perform these duties and lose your job or you act against your faith in the eyes of God. This nation was founded by bible believing Christians that believed, as most North Carolinians still believe, that marriage is solely between a man and a woman. Physiologically this would be obvious to anyone, yet there are a whole host of alternative gender identity trends.

Friday, May 29th, Governor Pat McCrory vetoed SB2, but Monday evening the NC Senate reaffirmed this First Amendment protection. Interestingly enough, Article 1, Section 13 of the North Carolina constitution also references this protection ~ “inalienable right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences” and states, “no human authority shall, in any case whatever, control or interfere with the rights of conscience.”

Senate Bill 2 preserves an element of the US and NC Constitutions. It was passed and ratified in the Senate on this day June 1, 2015 in a two-thirds vote of 32 Aye and 16 No. It now moves to the House where it must pass prior to becoming law.

Coming Home To What Matters Most

Sometimes it’s good to come back home. It’s good to take stock of what really matters in the long run. Things like “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”, concepts such as our liberty and our rights are granted by God, not man, that these states of the United States of America are sovereign and the federal government is not beholden to other nations. With the threat of world terror by radical Islamic groups, it may help to know that Islam is an ideology not a religion. This ideology has evil elements and comes with and instruction booklet, the Quran.

So here are a few things to come back home to:

God and family are most important yet we will have neither lest we fend off the continued attack from the liberal progressive left. My ancestors and perhaps yours relinquished themselves from the tyrannical rule of the King of England almost 240 years ago, shedding their blood for us. Since then over a million men (women included) have died in battle defending the United States of America from attacks from outside and within our borders. The Constitution of the United States of America is still the Supreme Law of the Land yet we have endured an administration over the last seven (7) years that has bastardized and disregarded our Constitution as rubbish. Barack Obama has most openly, aggressively and arrogantly forced his socialist lies on the American people more so than any other President in the history of these United States of America. He has increased the national debt more than all his predecessors combined since the inception of this country. But you can do your part to combat the assault.

The best way to affect change is locally. Battles are won in your own back yard. Thick skin is required and when you stand on principle you can’t lose. The 1st Amendment is our best friend while the 2nd Amendment protects us from a tyrannical government. This 2016 election cycle is pretty darned important but so is 2015. The impact from the outcome of local races are felt the most. School boards, City Councils and other elected posts affect us where we are. Get involved today. Run for local office or help a conservative win an elected post. We’re depending on you.
