The Business End Of The Sausage Machine

NC House Bill 2 (HB2) has made a media splash when the North Carolina Legislature countered government overreach dictated by Charlotte’s City Council… their “use whichever bathroom you ID with…” ordinance.  The ordinance was a gross violation of the morals and ethics of the people of North Carolina in so many ways there have been reverberations felt all over the country… and the bathroom floor is still shaking!transgenderthumb

Fascist Government Mandates seem to be quite the trend these days, a tone set by the POTUS, Obama. At first larger corporations were coming out of the woodwork in support of transgenders and their rights. Musicians (if you can call some of them musicians) boycotted North Carolina. However, once a clear message had been sent by the NC Legislature, a representative voice of the people of North Carolina, that these corporations threatening to boycott our State could simply take their business elsewhere, Obama and the Feds launched a separate assault threatening to take away North Carolina education dollars. The general public doesn’t know, but the Feds only contribute about 15% – 20% to our education funding….. only with strings attached, like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey. One example?…. Common Core standards/mandates/decrees.

We don’t take the funding and we aren’t beholden to the Feds or their silly games.

The liberal progressives will try other forms of blackmail of course. North Carolina launched a lawsuit a week ago against these federal bullies just hours before the Feds launched their own against North Carolina and our Governor.  media-bias-obama

But…ALL of this is just a smoke screen, a diversion in a critical election year.  Those acquiring their “news” from progressive mainstream media to include CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, the NY Times, Charlotte Observer, Winston-Salem Journal, or the News and Observer (just to name a few) are getting the story spun to fit an agenda set by donor dollars. Yes, even FOX has a conservative image to uphold.  These media outlets care about one thing, selling a story…. and we need to remember that.

tranny-at-urinal_400

Most often what comes out of the business end of the sausage machine is a propagandized tie-died remnant of the truth.

Remember, these news outlets depend on advertising dollars to survive and can’t afford to tick off the wrong people…. their existence depends on it. They are bought and sold!

Because of the fissure created when the HB2 firecracker went off, Obama is doing what Obamas do best, issuing more decrees, creating division, and inciting riot …. this time he wants ALL publicly funded schools across the country to comply with his gender neutral bathroom decree.

His ammo? He will unilaterally withhold federal education dollars, the only illegal leverage he has. It’s our belief the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) should be defunded and shut down, the authority and responsibility given back to the States to educate our children.

Remember this…. North Carolina is a pivotal state in 2016 with the Number 1 Governor’s race and Number 1 Senate race in the country. We are 6th in the nation in delegate count with 72!  We are a threat to Obama’s agenda, Roy Cooper’s agenda, Rev. Wm. Barber’s agenda, and to Hillary’s agenda. The mortar attacks we are experiencing now are only the beginning of what is to come. We should take it very personally!

When Donald Trump is elected as next President of the United States of America he will address the unconstitutional decrees and mandates by simply reversing them.  But until then, until we have a real leader to stand up for the working class, the people that drive this country’s economy, the monkey business will continue. Until we have a real leader to stand up to the corruption in Congress and most importantly the bureaucrats that are holding us all hostage, the monkey business will continue. marsupialsWe need a new zookeeper ….yesterday!

This Election Is NOT About You and Me

Donald-Trump-Strong-200x200As of last night billionaire business magnate Donald Trump is the Presumptive Nominee for President of these united States of America. Social media has gone wild with opinions spanning the spectrum in complete support of Trump to those that threaten to take their toys and go home since their candidate didn’t win, #NeverTrump. Cruz and Trump are very different animals, yet both know how to play the game. Despite what either would have you believe they are both politicians, though Trump has never held public office.

So what price will we pay as a nation if idealist millennials and the religious right allow their emotions to overtake common sense by staying home on election day? Romney lost in 2012 because “Christians” stayed home. Well, Clinton will win.

If social conservatives exhibit obstinance in November our nation will go the way of Communist rule with wealth redistribution, land grabs, socialized medicine and the like. You WILL WAIT for medical procedures just like the next guy no matter your contribution to ‘The System’. America will move even closer to a one world government. UN soldiers and workers along with Dept. of Homeland Security goons will infiltrate every aspect of your life. That’s already underway. Big government is poised for a resistance because bureaucrats run this country, not the President or Congress.

Hillary Is HereThis is what Hillary has been working toward her whole life and the climate is ripe. She studied under Saul Alinsky, a communist community organizer. She is ready to take the throne and force her ideals on the American people, like it or not.

It is our hope that Donald Trump will lay out more specific plans to “make America great again”.  We know he has financial sensibility, is willing to take on the immigration problem and secure our border, will take on ISIS and other international threats directly. Even so, some idealist holdouts will stay home on election day.  We have a chance to put a Republican in the White House again. You may not agree with all his tactics. You may not like his temperament or the way he wears his hair. He may be too far right or left on issues you take to heart. But he WILL BE the Republican nominee come July. It’s time to lay trivialities aside and support our nominee.

This election is not about you and me.  It is about future generations of Americans. You have a choice in November….. Embrace Capitalism or Embrace Communism. It’s that simple. Staying home or not voting for the Republican candidate supports the latter. Choose wisely and unselfishly.

Perspective On The “Big Business” Boycotts

north-carolinaLet’s begin by putting a few things in perspective regarding business in North Carolina.  The State of North Carolina currently employs 133,865.  This number does not include county and municipal employees totaling an estimated 237,000.  In the third quarter of 2015 North Carolina Small Businesses employed 1.6 million people, or 46.0% of the private workforce.  That’s 97.9% of all employers in the State of North Carolina.

In July, 2015 the estimated population in North Carolina was 10,042,802 (US Census Bureau). Of that number it is estimated that about 62.1% worked full or part-time while the remainder do not work for a variety of reasons. They are either retired, unemployed looking for a job, medically disabled, or not looking for work but collecting welfare and other subsidies.

Using census data, we can deduce that the workforce in North Carolina is comprised of roughly 6,236,500 workers. Here’s the breakdown:

  •  3,500,000 private sector jobs
  •  371,000 state and local government jobs
  •  56,980 federal jobs
  •  2,308,500 large corporations job/other categories

small business

Well over half of the jobs in North Carolina are provided through small businesses.  With the passage of House Bill 2 (HB2) a few weeks ago which, in part, regulates bathroom usage to that bathroom matching one’s birth certificate, there have be a host of corporations that have taken a reactionary stance against this Bill, along with some entertainers.  In a recent article entitled “Are We Ruled By Radicals… Progressive Mud Slinging Gets Bawdy” we pointed out the political gain attributed to this whole debacle.

trans blog 1

President Obama has even chimed in from London assuring the good people it’s safe to travel to North Carolina….and then stated, “I also think the laws that have been passed there are wrong and should be overturned…”.

Josh Ellis from Governor Pat McCrory’s office issued a statement in reply,

Governor McCrory agrees with President Obama that all people are welcome to our state and everybody will be treated well with extraordinary hospitality. However, the governor respectfully disagrees with the political left’s national agenda to mandate changes to basic, common-sense restroom norms.”

Over half the jobs in North Carolina can be attributed to the private sector.  The quality of people that create business and jobs for North Carolinians, by and large, don’t have a lot of tolerance for nonsense like corporate boycotts and performing artists pulling their shows. One of the best, Jimmy Buffett performed last night in Raleigh.

And we really don’t care what Springsteen thinks about a “transgender woman” using the urinal. He needs to retire anyway. He can hang out with anyone he chooses to…. on his own dime.

Liberal progressive corporations are free to locate wherever they feel comfortable. Some of them refuse to have their names published. However, the www.dailynewsfix.org will be publishing a list in our next edition. That information will provide the latitude so you may decide whether or not you wish to patronize a business that uses Alinsky tactics to “control the peasants”.

More importantly we should scrutinize over supporting any business that thinks it’s okay to compromise the safety of our children so they can sell one more cup of coffee or a chicken nugget.

Just like the transgender population, we in North Carolina won’t allow 0.03% or a small minority, to control the moral majority. Threatening us won’t work and it never will. With the ingenuity North Carolinians possess we’ll just fill the void when these Corporations head off to Rhode Island or some other liberal haven.  After all our State motto is Esse quam videri, Latin for “To be, rather than to seem”.  Rather appropriate!…. The Daily News Fix says Good Riddance!

Are We Ruled By Radicals?… Progressive Mud Slinging Gets Bawdy

True Conservative Republicans adhere to the party platform and believe in principles like:

  • Limited government
  • Fiscal responsibility/Accountability
  • Lower taxes
  • Individual liberty
  • Free enterprise
  • Religious freedom

So when liberal Charlotte City Council members passe an ordinance allowing the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community to use the bathroom of their choice North Carolinians with common sense and decency got a little upset. And rightly so… what mom or dad wants some guy using the locker room with their teenage daughter? Using the LGBT reasoning/excuse is only a political ploy… a destructive TOOL because that’s their modus operandi.

outhouse

“The ‘LGBT excuse’ is simply a pry bar to open Pandora’s box.”

The NC General Assembly agreed and was called back in session to examine what Charlotte had done and passed House Bill 2.  Since then all the liberal media and rabid activists have been on the attack putting North Carolina in their cross-hairs. Much pressure has been put on the legislature and Governor Pat McCrory to reverse the law. The liberal progressive left is using as a campaign tool against Governor McCrory.  The liberal way is to ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK! no matter the excuse.  Their vitriolic behavior is sickening!… possibly a result of bad parenting or the lack of it. racist

The LGBT community makes up only a small fraction of a percentage of the general population in North Carolina.  Charlotte City Council passed a local law/ordinance that allowed this minute percentage of individuals to control bathroom practices for the overwhelming majority. We’re not sure how the LGBT community has gotten by all these years without walking into the wrong bathroom and causing problems, but the NC Legislature made it clear bathroom and locker room gender blender behavior won’t happen in Charlotte or any NC town without a trip to jail. Hats off to them!

NC Attorney General Roy Cooper is sitting on the sidelines letting these mindless drones do his work.  Roy Cooper has refused to do his job defending North Carolina against frivolous lawsuits.  He has refused to defend North Carolina and our legislative stances against Same-sex marriage, Illegal Immigration, Syrian Refugees, gun bans and violation of our 2nd Amendment rights, Voter ID law, and NOW THIS!  North Carolinians have shelled out millions in tax dollars to hire outside legal council to do Roy’s JOB.

Screen-Shot-2016-04-05-at-8.46.01-AM-200x200Now he wants to be your Governor?

North Carolina values ARE NOT synonymous with Roy Cooper’s values or his followers.  He and his buddies are simply using that 0.03% of the population to draw attention away from the positive things our Republican led legislature has accomplished. They play dirty and hit hard. It’s all straight out of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals” playbook…. you know, the rules Hillary and her cronies play by….

“Rule 12 –  Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

rules for radicals

Our message is clear. They can’t hurt you…. they can only throw mud at you. Progressives are of the entitlement mentality, hate individual liberty, capitalism and anything remotely resembling WORK. They focus on “What can I get for free? The government and all those rich folks OWE me! My sexuality and free health care is more important than your religious expression. ” You and I owe nothing to anyone.

The majority of us worked for what we have. The government will continue to tax, spend, regulate and give our earnings away via miserable bureaucrats and “occupiers” like the Charlotte City Council and AG Roy Cooper… as long as WE allow it. Enough already! Time to put your foot down. We won’t let this cancer continue to erode our communities, state and nation.  Stand against this immorality and fascist rule.  Fight for your children’s future!

30 Pieces Of Silver

We are republishing last week’s February 28th, 2016 column originally published in the Kinston Free Press which highlights the difference between the Democrat Party Platform and the Republican Party Platform.  Both publish their Platforms online so it should be no secret but many do not know where their party stands on the issues. It’s intent was a gut check…. what do you stand for?
 fighting mascots
It is my belief that we should should associate ourselves with and register with the political party that most closely resembles our core values. I am Pro-life, believe in limited government, capitalism, lower taxes, preservation of the 1st and 2nd amendment, and the right for every American to work hard and keep what they earn. More government means less liberty. I am a Republican. I associate with every word in the Republican Platform.
Truth Twain
You may call yourself a “moderate thinking” Democrat but if you support the Democrat Party and vote Democrat you support that Platform.
It doesn’t matter what you call yourself.  Just align yourself with the Party that most closely resembles your values.

Lenoir County is fairly conservative even though seventy-six percent of the population align themselves with the liberal Democratic party. You have heard the false narrative, “There’s not much difference between the Democrats and Republicans.” There may be politicians on both sides of the fence that will sell themselves for “thirty pieces of silver.” However, there are many more elected officials ethically bound to do the “will of the people.” Party platforms of Democrats and Republicans contrast sharply.

On abortion, Democrats believe a woman should have the “right to choose” and have taxpayer-funded abortions on demand. Republicans believe the unborn are human beings with rights and oppose partial birth and taxpayer-funded abortions as Planned Parenthood provides. Over one million children are slaughtered through abortion each year in the United States.

On gun control, Democrats do not honor the Second Amendment but believe more regulation is needed to “control” gun sales. Republicans understand the Second Amendment is designed to protect our First Amendment rights to include freedom of religion, freedom of speech and of the press, to peaceably assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Over-regulating weapons infringes on our God-given right to defend ourselves and our families. In the U.S., around eight thousand people per year die by gunfire, yet one million children are murdered through abortion. Gun control is not about saving lives, it is only about control as the numbers prove.

On the economy, Democrats believe government regulation is necessary to “level the playing field,” stifling growth with taxation in the process. Republicans believe in promoting free markets to produce more growth, jobs and a higher standard of living.

On welfare, Democrats believe welfare is necessary to protect the poor. Republicans believe it is more compassionate and effective to encourage self-reliance. The welfare system enslaves minorities, is highly abused and creates a generational cycle of dependency.

On education, Democrats are against parental choice and believe in increased tax funding for public education. Republicans believe parents should have the right to choose a charter school or private school education. Federal overreach with intrusive agendas like “Common Core” only rob students of their critical thinking skills while taking parents out of the equation. Our children are not property of the state.

On immigration, Democrats believe in blanket amnesty and funding for higher education of illegal aliens who came here as children. Republicans believe in legal immigration only, oppose amnesty and support increased border security. Our borders are a national security issue the current administration refuses to effectively address.

On taxes, Democrats believe in raising taxes on wealthy Americans to support a more intrusive over-regulating government. Republicans promote lower taxes, smaller government, and believe in free market capitalism. Republicans understand higher taxes and more regulations put a stranglehold on economic growth.

On healthcare, Democrats believe government should control all aspects of healthcare while Republicans understand socialized medicine results in high costs and poor quality healthcare. It is not the role of the government to mandate how the private sector delivers medical treatment.

On global warming, Democrats theorize the earth is heating rapidly caused by the burning of fossil fuels like oil and coal. Consequently they have introduced “green energy” mandates which drive up fuel prices. Republicans understand the heating and cooling of the earth is a natural process. Regulating carbon will not help the environment and will only increase fuel costs.

On religion, Democrats believe all references of God in public and government spaces should be removed. Republicans understand our Constitution affords all Americans freedom Of religion, not freedom From religion.

On same-sex marriage, Democrats believe this should be legal. Republicans oppose same-sex marriage and believe marriage should be between one man and one woman.

These are only a few core beliefs found in each party’s platform. You should align yourself with those core beliefs which most closely reflect your political beliefs. One-party rule has hurt Lenoir County for the last century and a half. Are you surprised you have been honoring a political party that goes against your religious, moral or ethical convictions? Consider supporting a more balanced political landscape by registering and voting Republican.

Congressional Distict Map Not Final Until Lower Court Says So

On February 14th The News Fix published a story linked here:

Appellate Court’s Decision Could Do More Harm Than Good (Timing Was Intentional)

This article was in response to the liberal three judge panel that ruled the 2011 NC US Congressional District redistricting maps unconstitutional and ordered the NC General Assembly redraw them by February 19th (of course to their liking). Their chief complaint was that there was racial gerrymandering of at least three(3) Congressional Districts. The NC General Assembly has always held that the Districts were drawn for political advantages but race was never a factor.

gerrymander 1

The new map was drawn and submitted as shown in this local news article:

Kinston Free Press Article

Which brings to the point of this article.

The press and general public have been led the public to believe this map is the “final deal”.  The truth is … it may be or may not be.  The map is still subject to review by the lower court who propagated this wild goose chase.

We have perused the major newspapers in the State and not one of them makes this point clear. Well there was one that mentioned it but we had to go to Chicago to find it…. HERE.

One thing is certain, since the US Supreme Court denied a stay allowing  North Carolina to proceed with the March 15th primaries as intended, there will be a later primary for the US Congressional races. That date has been set for June 7th.

What the news outlets are not telling the electorate (for whatever reason) is:

  • These liberal judges have cost to the taxpayers a cool $9 million by forcing North Carolina to add the June Congressional Primary.
  • The current Congressional Candidates must refile which allows others to enter those races after these candidates have spent months campaigning.
  • The lower court may approve the maps as drawn or send the maps back for changes.
  • The lower court may reject the NCGA version as drawn and attempt to draw their own lines. Scary proposition…. Let’s hope this is not the case.

election 2016

At this point in the process we can not assume this map is final. We believe this is a good District map. It keeps precincts and most counties intact and whole. In fact there are only thirteen(13) counties that are split. We think the NCGA did an outstanding job complying with this untimely request and applying common sense to drawing these boundaries.

One can only hope the lower court will accept these maps as drawn and let us move on with our election process.  They have already caused enough confusion and cost North Carolina taxpayers enough money.

Nepotism Defeated ~ Now On To The Real Issues Facing Kinston

Residents of Kinston scored a big WIN Monday night, February 15th, when the Kinston City Council voted unanimously to reverse the September 8th Nepotism Policy Amendment. The 2015 “Amendment” gave the green light for family of City Council members, including the Mayor, to be hired on with the City of Kinston.

The “Amendment” was force fed to the public by three sitting Council members even though resident and business owner, Logan Thurman presented a petition with over 300 signatures opposing the change. The NAACP voiced concern publicly, as did the Daily News Fix. Even so, the measure passed on September 8th and became a contentious campaign issue.

Back of T

See last night’s victory video HERE

For the Daily News Fix it’s on to bigger and better things, more important issues, like getting residents gainfully employed and off welfare and food stamps, shutting down public housing in Kinston and moving residents into affordable housing owned and operated by the private sector.

The Welfare Model was designed as a “hand up”, not a way of life.  But it is now used by Democrats to control minorities and gain votes. Ironically in a town like Kinston where 69% of the population is black, Democrats retain around 86% of the vote. Think about that for a minute…… minorities are enslaved by this model while their personal liberty is stifled.

hand up

The City of Kinston has never in its history elected a Republican to City Council. The first Republican Mayor, BJ Murphy, was elected 6 years ago and now in his second term.

Even though there has never been a Republican on City Council,  Republicans are consistently targeted for any problems Kinston might have.  Let that sink in for a minute…..   Non-partisan elections were “pre-approved” in 2013 by USDOJ after a US Supreme Court lawsuit for the reversal of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Non-partisan elections will help in a town the size of Kinston if we focus less on RACE and more on electing effective diverse representation.  This will only be breached through education and resolve.  During the 2015 municipal election cycle, for the first time ever, the NAACP and the Lenoir County Democrat Party did not endorse candidates in the non-partisan contest. That’s a step in the right direction.

The Nepotism Policy Amendment was the non-partisan issue that created a unique cohesiveness.  As a result, the election was issue-based whereby qualified and effective candidates were elected to office.

Time will tell as to the effectiveness of this new team.  We are delighted they kept their campaign promises to reverse this bad policy.  Now it’s up to you, the residents of Kinston, whether you pay property taxes or not, to get involved in the process.

  • Go to City Council meetings
  • Apply to sit on a Board or Commission (an eye opening experience)
  • Contact your Council members and ask questions on the issues important to you

NOW, let’s get to work!

Kinston City Council Campaign Promises About To Play Out

The City of Kinston Nepotism Policy was rewritten in the latter part of 2015 and swiftly passed through Council just a few months prior to the November election. Incumbent Sammy Aiken was a vocal opponent of the amendment to this policy which, as written, now allows family of City Council and the Mayor to be hired on at the City.

Mayor Pro Tem, Robbie Swinson, IV went with Sammy on this one, opposing the changes that came about when Council member, Wynn Whittington, questioned the rule.  Whittington’s brother had applied for a couple of jobs with the City and was turned away because of his relationship to the Councilman.

One thing you don’t do as an elected official is help your family members out publicly.  That’s called favoritism and Mr. Whittington blatantly did so.

The Daily News Fix was out front on this development (See HERE) and there was much debate.  So much debate, in fact, that the NAACP readily opposed this form of cronyism and made it part of their line of questioning in the public forum they put on in which all the candidates were asked the question, “If you are elected to City Council will you work to repeal the Nepotism Policy amendment?” (paraphrased)

integrity-2-200x200

All the candidates made a public pledge to repeal the amendment once elected with the exception of, then Councilwoman, Kelly Jarman.  She lost her seat on Council, coming in fifth place in the eight candidate contest. Ironically she was the top vote-getter in 2011. Her refusal to admit she was wrong and her allegiance vote with Whittington cost her that seat. See October prediction HERE

The repeal of this Amendment is on the table Monday, February 15th at the 7 PM City Council meeting at Kinston City Hall.  Why would the reversal of this amendment be a problem?  It should be a 4 to 1 landslide at worst.

Maybe Whittington will even concede if he shows up for the vote.  He’s been MIA(absent) three(3) of the last four(4) Council meetings.

Everyone sitting on Council made a promise to their constituents to repeal the amendment except for Whittington.  If this amendment is not reversed after Monday’s meeting, the consequences for this Council could be earth shattering.

easy-button-s200x200

Lets’s get this done people. This is a no-brainer.  Next order of business should be how to move all public housing located in the City of Kinston into private sector housing, work to get residents off welfare and food stamps and onto a payroll while curbing crime in the process. That takes representation with guts and resolve.  If this Council can’t handle this simple task Monday….. well, we’ll talk about that next time!

Appellate Court’s Decision Could Do More Harm Than Good (Timing Was Intentional)

Friday’s big news…. an order written by Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Roger Gregory, part of a US appeals court panel, states that North Carolina Congressional Districts were racially gerrymandered during the 2011 redistricting and must be redrawn within two weeks (by February 19th).

Even though North Carolina primaries are scheduled for March 15th, this order bars elections in the 1st and 12th districts, both majority black districts,….. until the new maps are approved.

The timing of this ‘decree’ calling the 2011 redistricting plan unconstitutional is unfortunate and well timed by the plaintiffs for maximum impact.

gerrymander 1

District 1 is represented by G.K. Butterfield, while the 12th Distict is represented by Alma Adams, both of whom are black. Historically, even prior to redistricting, blacks had no problem getting elected in either district.  But the 2011 redistricting added minority voters to both Districts.

The 1st Congressional District weaves through 24 counties and takes in 5 complete counties. The dimensions for the 12th District?…  120 miles long and 20 miles at it’s widest point.

gerrymander 2

Three plaintiffs filed suit in 2013 in an effort to invalidate the newly drawn districts, the premise being Republicans were being handed an advantage in adjacent Districts through the redistricting process. Read the 100 page decision by the appellate court HERE.

A Republican controlled legislature drew the lines in 2011. The plaintiffs claim race was a motivating factor as to where those boundary lines fell. At the center of this controversy are State Senator Bob Rucho and House member David Lewis, both of whom had strong influence in how these lines were drawn and helped design the maps. You can view district maps at the NC General Assembly site HERE.

The immediate impact of this decision could mean:

  • Delay of the primary
  • Voter disenfranchisement/confusion
  • Absentee ballots already cast could be nullified
  • Additional lawsuits filed
  • If the NC General Assembly is called back into session it will be at the tax payer’s expense

Most disturbing of all is the fact that the Federal government is telling the State of North Carolina how to run its elections.

gerrymander4

In 2013, the US Supreme Court ruled in Shelby County v. Holder in favor of the plaintiff which reversed Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act. A case paralleling the Shelby case was Nix v. Holder seeking reversal of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act. The reversal of Section 4 nullifies Section 5. However, because Shelby was not decided in 2011 this Appellate Court has decided to retroactively rule on this redistricting boondoggle.

We’ll keep you informed. Tune in often and subscribe to this blog for the Daily New Fix.
