Democrat Supported Planned Parenthood Kills Far More Than Guns Ever Will

Ask most people what Planned Parenthood is and they’ll tell you it’s designed to help young or financially challenged couples plan a family. Honestly, I had never looked at the meaning behind the name but was surprised and disgusted to find out the truth. More than a million babies are aborted in the U.S. each year through Planned Parenthood’s services. They call this “family planning.”
Planned Parenthood’s web site lists more than 750 locations around the country. Their mission statement states they “believe in the fundamental right of each individual, throughout the world, to manage his or her fertility, regardless of the individual’s income, marital status, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or residence.”
It continues to explain all services are complimentary, that they advocate the right to these services and promote research and education. This left me with more questions that needed answers.
Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood in 1921 under the name of American Birth Control League. Sanger was a racist and believed darker skinned people were inferior. She wanted to “assist the race toward the elimination of the unfit.” She believed in negative eugenics, an effort to cleanse society of hereditary traits considered unfit, and was an advocate for sterilization for the profoundly retarded.
Despite these facts, she is the founding hero of Planned Parenthood. Ironically, Sanger was an advocate for birth control but opposed abortion, calling it a “disgrace to civilization.”
How is Planned Parenthood funded? Revenues in 2011 were in excess of $1.219 billion with assets totaling $1.377 billion. This “not-for-profit” is 45 percent funded through your tax dollars. However, as funding goes up, abortions performed increase and real health services for women go down.
Planned Parenthood is “the most proficient killing machine in the United States” says Douglas Scott of Life Decisions International. Planned Parenthood offers free abortions by pill or in one of their clinics. Though it promotes safe sex, it also supports deviant sexual orientations and advocates for choice in gender identification.
Planned Parenthood does not represent what its name purports. It promotes abortion and undermines family values and marriage. It indoctrinates our youth with self-absorbed practices that replace God and family values with self and sex. Primarily, it supports and perpetuates a very lucrative abortion industry. Political agenda and money are motivating factors.
In an earlier guest column, I discussed the hypocrisy surrounding gun control and its link to abortion. Advocates for gun control also support abortion. Gun control is about control, not saving lives.
There are about 1.25 million children slaughtered through abortion each year. Less than 9,000 deaths can be attributed to guns each year. We are told that guns are bad and abortion is a right. The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is a right. Abortion is a choice. A gun is neither good nor bad, as it is an inanimate object. Conversely, abortion goes against most world religious doctrines and certainly Christian teachings.
Abortion requires a human being to rationalize and follow through with the act of killing another human. How is that a right?
Planned Parenthood is another liberal progressive political tool used to indoctrinate those ignorant souls who believe poor choices have no consequences and “free stuff” has no price tag. Progressives don’t seem to value human life but will sacrifice liberty for this fodder. Planned Parenthood indoctrinates the weak and preys on the poor and misguided for political gain.
We collectively turn our heads allowing the killing of millions. You and I finance these services. Can you continue to watch our nation slide into moral destitution and spiritual decay? Life is precious.

Coming Home To What Matters Most

Sometimes it’s good to come back home.  It’s good to take stock of what really matters in the long run.  Things like “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”, concepts such as our liberty and our rights are granted by God, not man, that these states of the United States of America are sovereign and the federal government is not beholden to other nations.  With the threat of world terror by radical Islamic groups, it may help to know that Islam is an ideology not a religion.  This ideology has evil elements and comes with and instruction booklet, the Quran.

So here are a  few things to come back home to:

God and family are most important yet we will have neither lest we fend off the continued attack from the liberal progressive left.  My ancestors and perhaps yours relinquished themselves from the tyrannical rule of the King of England almost 240 years ago, shedding their blood for us.  Since then over a million men (women included) have died in battle defending the United States of America from attacks from outside and within our borders.  The Constitution of the United States of America is still the Supreme Law of the Land yet we have endured an administration over the last seven (7) years that has bastardized and disregarded our Constitution as rubbish.  Barack Obama has most openly, aggressively and arrogantly forced his socialist lies on the American people more so than any other President in the history of these United States of America.  He has increased the national debt more than all his predecessors combined since  the inception of this country.  But you can do your part to combat the assault.

The best way to affect change is locally.  Battles are won in your own back yard.  Thick skin is required and when you stand on principle you can’t lose.  The 1st Amendment is our best friend while the 2nd Amendment protects us from a tyrannical government.  This 2016 election cycle is pretty darned important but so is 2015.   The impact from the outcome of local races are felt the most.  School boards, City Councils and other elected  posts affect us where we are.   Get involved today.   Run for local office or help a conservative win an elected post.  We’re depending on you.

Rally Intertwines Racial and Environmental Justice ~ Something Smells

Thumbing trough my local paper Sunday, I came across a full-page ad paid for by the Waterkeeper Alliance regarding a “RALLY FOR RACIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE” with the hashtag #RaiseAStink.  This peaked my attention of course, so I called the number listed for Lower Neuse Riverkeeper (252) 637-7972 and spoke with my “source”.  It seems the Waterkeeper Alliance, the NC Environmental Justice Network, and the NAACP are working together.

The Rally will be held on Wednesday, May 13 from 11 AM to 1 PM on Halifax Mall adjacent to the Legislature building in Raleigh.  Featured keynote speakers are Reverend Dr. Gerald Durley, who also believes “Climate Change” is a civil rights issue…. really.  Also speaking is Reverend Curtis Gatewood with the NC NAACP.  Finally, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. with Waterkeeper Alliance will address the crowd.  Mr. Kennedy is a Harvard grad attorney who specializes in high profile environmental litigation.  Quite the ensemble.

In discussing the intent of this rally I asked what racial justice had to do with environmental justice.  It was stated that industries like poultry processing plants and large swine production facilities tend to set up in poor counties and in “Non-white communities with a lot of blacks and Hispanics or communities of color“.  I pointed out to my source the obvious; it is both a demographic and statistical fact that agricultural communities are made up of higher percentages of blacks and Hispanics.  Acknowledging this, my source stated this population in particular could be taken advantage of saying “it wouldn’t be allowed in a golfing community” and further adding, “The whole idea is not without controversy, but the impacts on poor and relatively powerless people from the placement of facilities is real.”

For the record, I don’t want our water polluted with ammonia from urine, air pollutants emitted from factories nor do I want fecal contaminants flowing into streams.   That goes without saying.  I also recognize that each community has the opportunity to vet these large producers or processing plants prior to allowing them to set up shop. Furthermore, these plants often set up in communities that need jobs.  Elected leaders in county and city government have ample opportunity to analyze the benefits or detriments to their community.  The citizens’ interest is protected by these elected officials by design.  That’s what makes us a Republic, not a Democracy.  No industry just sets up shop.  In fact, many tax incentives have been paid for these industries to “come to town”.

My source continuously referenced the Warren County PCB Landfill in discussion.  In 1978 approximately 69% of Warren County’s population was “non-White”.  The reference states, “During the six-week trucking opposition, with collective nonviolent direct action, which included over 550 arrests, Warren County citizens mounted… “the largest civil disobedience in the South since Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., marched through Alabama.”   In the case of Warren County, Democrat Governor, Jim Hunt’s mishandling of these toxins was the real issue and it had nothing to do with minorities.  See information on this rally here:  Rally

Trying to put a racial spin on hog and chicken waste just stinks to high heavens.  Instead of focusing on educating minorities, job skills training, traditional family values, and weening people of all color from government subsidies, this looks to be another tool special interest groups are using to get their way.  Yes, we all must have clean water and air to live.  Using the “RACE” moniker to create any false narrative is immoral and unclean.

North Carolina Should Take The Lead In Defending Our National Flag

“I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.” Ezekial 22:30 Following the Ferguson, Missouri media diversion and riots, there is now mass dissension and senseless rioting in the streets of Baltimore over the death of Freddy Gray in an arrest a few weeks ago.  Whether proper procedure in arresting Mr. Gray was used or not will forever be debated.  There are six police officers charged now for his murder.  But this is not the topic of today’s discussion. As a product of these riots and acts of thuggery, there has a been a rash of images posted via social media and main stream media of protesters trampling and desecrating the United States flag.  Most people don’t understand the laws or history surrounding flag desecration.  Following is a brief history:

  • Early 1900’s states started passing their own flag desecration laws.
  • 1907 –  Halter v. Nebraska ruled a brewer couldn’t place US flags on their beer bottles, upholding Nebraska state law.
  • 1931 – The Supreme Court of the United States strikes down a California law stifling First Amendment rights ruling it constitutional to fly a red flag in protest against the government.  This set a precedent for symbolic free speech.
  • 1968 – Federal Flag Desecration Law in lieu of Vietnam War protests making it illegal to “knowingly” cast “contempt” upon “any flag of the United States by publicly mutilating, defacing, defiling, burning or trampling upon it.”
  • 1974 – Spence v. Washington ~ The court ruled it within the parameters of symbolic free speech to use tape to put a peace sign on an American flag.
  • 1984 – Texas v. Johnson Gregory Lee Johnson burned a flag in Dallas, Texas protesting President Ronald Reagan’s policies. He was arrested, convicted, fined and sentenced but on appeal, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ruled in his favor stating his action was within his right to symbolic free speech. The US Supreme Court agreed in a 5-4 decision.
  • 1989 –  Congress passed another law known as the Flag Protection Act of 1989 but the Supreme Court struck it down in 1990 ruling it unconstitutional.

Images of protesters trampling the flag as shown below are a slap in face to veterans of the armed services who fought to uphold our freedom.  Veterans and most people with decency and common sense know that freedom is not free but those misguided individuals who desecrate the US flag spit in the face of the men and women that provide that freedom for them. They know not what they have, were taught no better and, thus, have no gratitude or respect for anyone or anything. Image result for american flag defacing laws This is one with two fine upstanding members of society using the Black Panther sign….. remember them? Doesn’t it make you happy to know President Obama and the US Attorney General Eric Holder seem to welcome this sort of activity, allow illegal aliens to desecrate our US flag while paying their grocery and housing expenses with your tax money!  Isn’t it time to put an end to this?! Forty-eight (48) states have statutes making it a crime to desecrate the US flag.  What about North Carolina law?  And does NC law trump federal law?

  • The State of North Carolina makes it a Class 2 misdemeanor for anyone to mutilate, defile, deface or trample upon the U.S. flag or the North Carolina state flag. N.C. Gen. Stat. Sec. 14.381

We contacted the NC Attorney General, Roy Cooper’s office in Raleigh requesting some interpretation and explanation.  We wanted to find out if this statute is defensible and can it be upheld?  What is the State Attorney General’s official position?  After being shuffled between the AG’s office to NC Dept. of Justice and then back to the AG’s office we were “allowed” to leave a voice message with an assistant.  Up until then, receptionist was adamant that this was a federal issue and we were wasting our time, but in the same breath admitted she had no knowledge of the matter.  The assistant has not bothered to return our call.  We’ll let you know if/when she does.  If you would like to know where North Carolina stands on flag desecration we encourage you to contact the NC Attorney General’s office.  Let me know how that goes. The Daily News Fix believes flag desecration is a state matter.  North Carolina, as a sovereign State, should not only enforce, but defend our flag as a symbol of freedom and liberty.  Will the ACLU object?  Most certainly.  But, North Carolina is home to multiple military bases.  Our men and women in uniform put their lives on the line every day and they deserve more respect than this, as do all Americans.  It is up to those of us whom recognize the slow progressive erosion of our liberties and freedom to “stand in the gap”.  If WE don’t stand to secure our children’s future, who will? “Never surrender your rights, never give up, never shut up, and keep getting up.” ~ John Nix and the Daily News Fix
